CGB! The boys! This lineup of the band has been around since 2006, although CGB was in existence from as early as 2003 with various other lineups. We've always had a complete blast doing what we do, playing a bunch of my own songs, and some covers done only the way we can do them, our first album recorded in Moscow and the UK continues to sell well and we have a rather dashing line of merch you can buy by clicking the link below!
We've also been pretty darn privileged to have some uber cool guys get up and jam with us, from Bernie Marsden and Doug Aldrich from Whitesnake to Phil Campbell from Motorhead, Paul Gilbert, to Rob Flynn from MachineHead. Yeah thats right, we're proper friends to the stars, us! We are however an awesome band to get up and jam with, we love it, no matter how famous you are or not.
I first met Farid (Medjane, drummer) in France, his native country, when I was playing out there, he's truly one of a kind. If you've ever seen us play live then you'll have seen his solo, and know that there's nobody else out there who can do what he does. It's also to do with his character, a child trapped in a mans body, I can't even begin to tell you some of the things he's done over the years, some have had me in tears of laughter, others have left me with my jaw on the floor. He loves Facebook, so that's where you'll find him.
I've known Rob (Butterfield, Bassist) since I was about 17, we played in a couple of local bands together and it wasn't until years later when Rob joked about joining the band when I was on the lookout for a bass player, that everything came together. I'll let you into a secret about Rob, he holds the whole show together, both musically and mentally, while Farid and I can go off and do all the flashy stuff we want, Rob will be holding down the musical fort. If you're on Twitter, then follow Rob @robthebass.
